Winchester No.3 W Improved primers, made for paper shot shells, in a full packet of 100. These are sold in used condition, meaning an old packet of shotshell components rather than new stock. The paper shot shell designation is the detail that dates them and sets them apart from later primers.

For New Mexico shotgunners who load vintage paper hulls, or collectors who keep period Winchester packaging, a full packet of No.3 W Improved primers is a hard-to-find piece. Treat components of this age with care: inspect them before any use and store the packet dry. Many buyers will simply display it next to the paper-shell boxes it was made to serve, and no permit or dealer is involved in buying it.
